Update on last prayer request
Appreciate prayers for my sister in law, Debbie Pennington. My brother David’s wife. She has had chemo for 2 1/2 months now for Pacreatic Cancer
Her Update- we met with my oncologist this morning and the results of my CT scans are a mix of disappointment and hope.
Unfortunately my tumor did NOT respond to the aggressive first line standard of care, but the blessing is that it has not spread/metastasized to my liver or lungs. We are abandoning the regimen I was on, and changing to another chemo that is also FDA approved (aka not experimental or a trial). This new regimen has to go through the insurance auth process so I’ll start that on Monday, 5/12. It will be a weekly regimen with 3 weeks on, 1 week off (providing I can tolerate that frequency)
There are other trials, etc if this does not work, and he said we will not stop trying. If we were to stop treatment, my life expectancy would be 3-6 months. That is obviously NOT acceptable so onward we fight.
We are doing fine, and are at peace. God is holding me in the palm of His hands, and is in control.
Please pray for Debbie and family.
